"A Day with Dr. Agape" Seminars

Our director Sumith Fernando offers “A Day with Dr. Agape” seminars. Mostly they are one day programs but they may be extended to one and a half days. While an accomplished and entertaining speaker the seminars led by our director has been instrumental in transforming lives and relationships. “A day with Dr. Agape” seminars have been conducted in USA as well as in Asia. Preparations are currently underway to take these seminars to the United Kingdom. Following are brief descriptions of these seminars:

We subscribe to the belief that all living beings have a right to live in health and happiness. While we do not force this concept on anyone, we hope that you who seek our assistance will not be offended by this position.

Professional Christian Counseling Made Affordable

Jesus said "in the world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world." The meaning of these words of the Master have never been so true as today. Wherever we look hurt, pain, despair and fear are ever present. Depression, anxiety, broken families, child abuse and death by suicide are daily occurrences and realities. The challenge of the Church of Jesus Christ is to help his followers to function in Christ's overcoming power. At Agape, we believe that, in today's world, Christian psychotherapy is a powerful tool that God uses to help people become overcomers.

While psychotherapy is a powerful healing modality, it is also true to say that it is a costly service. Hence, many a "wounded soul" journey through life unable to get the treatment they deserve. At Agape, we have made a concentrated effort to meet this challenge. The steps we have taken to make our services affordable are as follows:

1. For those who can afford to pay our full fee, we offer our standard fee.
2. To those who have insurance or Medicaid and choose to use it, we will file if for them, and therefore, will only charge a co-pay.
3. For those who do not have health insurance, we have a sliding fee scale that adjusts according to their household income.
4. We have made it possible for you to make your payment by credit card.

How do I Make My Life Changing Appointment?

It is said that the most effective healer is the "wounded healer." Beginning from our director, all of our therapists have had their own battles to fight and, therefore, wounds to be healed. Every one of our caring professionals, have had their crosses to bear and "thorns in the flesh" to live with. Dr. Bernie Seigel, the famous cancer specialist, once said, "if you cannot hug your doctor, change him."

Our caring 'wounded healers' are ready and eager to assist you and your family to begin your journey into healing. We at Agape have made it very easy to meet with our compassionate professionals.
